Overview

Pre-school education in Malaysia typically serves children aged 4 to 6. Private pre-schools, commonly known as tadika, include standalone kindergartens as well as early-years centres attached to international schools.

Typical Fee Range

  • Standard private tadika: approximately RM300 to RM2,000 per month.
  • Premium or international pre-schools: approximately RM2,500 to RM3,500 or more per month.
  • International early-years tuition: may range from about RM10,000 to over RM44,000 per year, depending on school, location, curriculum, and facilities.

Providers & Learning Environment

Established private pre-school chains such as R.E.A.L Kids, The Children's House, Q-dees, and Beaconhouse operate in many residential areas across Malaysia. Many centres offer a multilingual learning environment, commonly using English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.

For MM2H Families

Families relocating under the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme should generally find a wide selection of pre-school options for young children, particularly in major cities and residential communities.
